Scott Heckert No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet Preview: Greenville Pickens Speedway

Ridgefield, Ct. (April 1st, 2015) – 21-year-old Ridgefield, Connecticut, native Scott Heckert will head to the half-mile oval of Greenville Pickens Speedway in South Carolina with his HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks team for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) “Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150” on Saturday, April 4th, driving the No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet. This is the second race of the 2015 season.

Last time out (NKNPSE) … After starting fifth in the “Hart to Heart Breast Cancer Foundation 150” at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) on Sunday, February 15th, Heckert drove to a fourth-place finish in the series opener, his highest-career finish in two starts at the Florida track in NKNPSE competition.

Greenville history … Heckert has raced four times at Greenville Pickens Speedway over the past two seasons of NKNPSE racing action, improving his finishing position in each event.

Championship points … With only one race in the books for 2015, Heckert’s fourth-place finish in the season opener places him in the fourth position with 40 points, eight points behind the leader.

Scott Heckert Quotes

Even though the season is just one race old, does the strong run in Florida carry over to this weekend?  “Momentum is really big in this sport. We finished in the top five four of the last five races of 2014 and picked up two wins, so we went into New Smyrna with a lot of confidence and it showed. We know the car has speed so we have confidence we will be strong each track we go to.”

Greenville is a challenging track. What have you done to prepare yourself for this weekend’s race?  “Greenville has never been my best track, so we’re going to try a few new things to see if we can improve. My entire HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks team is ready for this weekend and we are looking at putting the No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet up front.”
